If you fancy fast, filling, yet healthy food, I’d thoroughly recommend the Indian fast food restaurant Mosque Kitchen. Conveniently situated on Nicholson St in between the Pleasance Courtyard and Udderbelly venues, two of the major and most central venues of the Edinburgh Fringe it’s very accessible.

In terms of food I enjoyed a delicious chicken biryani (£5) and fruit juice (£1.50) which filled me up and kept me full for the rest of the day. They also serve a variety of Indian curries, biryani’s and vegetarian options. The food is tasty, ready immediately and the service is quick. It’s clean, huge, has ample seating and pleasantly inexpensive too. Perfect for the festival goer on a budget and in a hurry.
