Holistic health and well being seminar – 26th March 2011, Harrow

The lightbulbs certainly went on in ‘The Light on The Hill’ Church, Harrow, on Saturday afternoon, 26th March 2011, as three tremendous speakers educated an attentive audience soaking up the many fascinating and enlightening facts about our bodies, food, nutrition and damaging EU legislation being pushed through parliament.

Attendees at the Colourful Events powerful and explosive seminar, heard Paul Ifaymoi Grant, Derin Bepo and Dounne Alexander tackle the subjects of family relationships, health, nutrition and healing. Advice, solutions and strategies were delivered with the aim of keeping the audience and their families holistically healthy.

The importance of eating raw food, fruits, vegetables, avoiding over cooking, detoxing and cleansing; good quality sleep, the dangers of spending too much time in the GP’s surgery, pharmaceutical products and harmful mobile phones were all talked about in convincing and persuasive detail.

Dounne Alexander MBE FRSA, 62, the founder of GRAMMA’S®, Joining Hands In Health® and author of ‘A Mission Of Love, spoke with great passion about the  urgent need for us all to safeguard our Human Rights, Health Choice, Natural Foods, Cultural Heritage & the Environment. Dounne has initiated a petition THE NATION SPEAKS – “NO! Not In My Name” to try and defeat frightful EU legislation due to be enacted on 1st May 2011.

The campaign aims to secure 35 million signatures as a demonstration of opposition to this hugely harmful act to people’s health, not to mention damaging commercial impact of it on businesses here, in the Caribbean, China and Africa.

Please sign the petition and read up on the campaign here including Dounne’s 40 page letter to the Queen. The authorities do not wish the people to know about this issue and there is a real fear they may force the website to take down the letter, so I urge you to read it, download it and forward it widely before that eventuality happens.

Paul Ifayomi Grant, who is a writer, management consultant and public speaker talked  about health and relationships;

Derin Bepo, 52, a Natural Health consultant, Raw Food specialist, Natural healer, Health mentor, Broadcaster and Lecturer, spoke with intensity, passion and good humour about health and nutrition. As he has spent  30 years researching natural health secrets, looked very well (he doesn’t “do sickness”) and youthful for his age, his was a message certainly worth taking on board.

Derin Bepo – How to destroy your body?

According to Natural Health Consultant Derin Bepo, so many people are treating their bodies in a way designed to destroy it, via a combination of poor diet, lack of exercise, lack of vitamin D, too much reliance on Doctors and medication, rather than raw food and nature.

Many people look to have career and financial plans, but so few of us seem to have a health plan e.g. for where we want to be in 5 years time health wise. Too many of us just leave it to chance. That is such a casual attitude to our bodies. Is that really appropriate?

Derin advised that if you do find yourself on medication, then you need to have a plan to get off it as over reliance is not “healthfull” [my word] in the long run.

If you find yourself using medication have a plan to get off them. People who eat the least fresh food had most health problems.

Healthy Foods

How healthy we are represents the sum total of all we’ve been doing in our lives i.e. diet, exercise, sleep etc…

He cautioned us to stop using our mouths as entertainment centres, filling them with nice food that does nothing for us. If it doesn’t benefit you, why put it in your body? Use fuel as food, rather than comfort, her urged.

At the core of his message is the need for us to take responsibility and ownership of our own health. There is plenty of information freely available out there on the internet , in libraries that there is no excuse not to be healthy.

Derin is 52, but looked much younger. As he said,”I’ve only got one wrinkle and    and I’m not telling you where!!”

To find out more about how you can better  look after your body and enjoy a better quality of life, for longer,  Derin runs health and nutrition courses and you can find out more about these at health restore. However, I can’t promise he’ll tell you where his wrinkle is, but I’m sure the course will be educational and a lot of fun too.
